摘要
严歌苓是20世纪90年代以来享誉海内外的华文作家之一,90年代初,严歌苓随丈夫移民美国,异乡的漂泊经历使得严歌苓对于生命有了更深的体会感悟,这一时期创作了许多表现移民生活状态的海外移民小说。文章从两个方面分析严歌苓海外移民小说的表现内容:一是从移民的底层生活入手,对边缘人物在异域空间中生存的困境、情感的迷失,心灵的孤独进行深入的揭示和表现;二是聚焦人性的反抗意识,看夹缝中的小人物如何通过他人的救赎或自我的救赎在绝境中突围。最后通过前两部分内容的分析,探究作者在新移民小说边缘生活的描写中寄予的思想感情,既有对弱者的人文关怀,也有对于人性真善美、对自由平等的美好希冀。
Yan Geling immigrated to the U.S in early 1990s when she wrote many novels about the immigration life of Chinese.In these novels,she revealed the living dilemma,lost emotion and lonely heart of the people who lived in foreign lands as marginal figures.Besides,she focused on the resistance consciousness of human nature,and showed how the nobodies could break through in the desperate situation through the redemption of others or themselves.From these novels,we can find both the author’s humanistic concern for the weak and her hope for the true,the good and the beautiful as well as for freedom and equality.
