摘要
在空间光前置放大和外差探测应用中,单模光纤耦合是空间光通信的关键技术之一。由于多模光纤在短距离内可以实现近似单模传输,在特定条件下采用多模光纤作为耦合光纤,可兼顾单模和多模应用,提高光耦合效率。利用多层相位屏和光束传输法研究多模光纤中的传输特性。采用模式匹配法计算多模光纤耦合光场与基模光场耦合效率η。仿真结果表明:大气湍流强度参数D/r0=1、5、10时,η随多模光纤长度呈周期变化,峰值可以达到单模光纤直接耦合值的2~3.5倍;控制多模光纤的传输距离,可以获得最大值η,使多模光纤适用于相干光通信等单模应用中。
Single-mode fiber coupling is one of the key technologies in space optical communication for preamplifier and heterodyne detection. Multimode fiber can realize approximately single-mode transmission in a short distance. Under certain conditions, multi-mode fiber is used as coupling fiber, which can take into account both single-mode and multi-mode applications, improves the efficiency of optical coupling. The transmission characteristics of multimode fiber are studied by using multi-phase screen and beam propagation method. The mode coupling method is used to calculate the coupling efficiency between the coupled light field and the mode field of the multimode fiber. The mode matching method is used to calculate the matching efficiency η between the multimode fiber coupled light field and the fundamental mode field. The simulation results show that the η varies periodically with the length of the multimode fiber when the atmospheric turbulence intensity parameter Dr0=1,5,10, and its peak value can reach 2~3.5 times the peak value of direct single-mode fiber coupling efficiency. When controlling the transmission distance of multimode fiber, the maximum value can be obtained, so that multimode fiber can be applied to single mode applications such as coherent optical communication.
