摘要
"空间叙事"打破了传统的时间维度,强调的是空间因素对于叙事的建构。亨利·詹姆斯在作品中注重场景的描写,体现了叙事方式的空间化,常常通过空间变化展开小说叙事,《黛茜·密勒》便是其中之一。运用空间理论探讨女主人公的异域之旅,同时揭示空间与存在主义的联系,可大大丰富《黛茜·密勒》的研究视角。
Spatial narrative,which broke with the tradition of a temporal dimension,has put more emphasis on constructing narrative from spatial factors.Henry James focused on the description of scenes in his works,which embodies his skills in spatial narrative.Daisy Miller is one of the works.The thesis attempts to probe into the protagonist’s European trip.Meanwhile,it reveals the relationship between space and existentialism,which enriches the research perspectives into Daisy Miller.
