摘要
消极误译通常指无意而为且不符合任何翻译伦理的误译现象。由罗鹏翻译的《带灯》译本于2017年10月面世,正式开启英语世界译介之旅。通过文本细读比对,本文从乡土语言导致文化隔阂、英汉语差异导致理解偏差、粗心疏漏所致误译三个方面缕析《带灯》译本中文化误读引起的消极误译,并对消极误译现象进行描述和评析,旨在进行制因分析和反思,观照乡土文学英译问题,结合译者素养思考,探究译者模式问题,以期推进当代中国乡土文学海外传播。
Negative treason in translation refers to the mistranslation in violation of any categories of translation ethics proposed by Andrew Chesterman.“The Lantern Bearer”was released in October,2017 and began its journey in the English world.Through close reading,many examples of negative treason have been identified,which are mainly caused by misreading of Local language,failure in mastering linguistic differences and carelessness of the translator.This paper,based on thorough analysis of the phenomenon,attempts to shed some light to the issue of“Chinese Literature‘Going Global’”,by probing the factors involved in translation of“Chinese Folk Literature”such as translator competence and translator model.
