Along with the transformation of healthcare design model, the importance of nature, small steps that can make a big difference,in the promotion of people's health is increasingly prominent. And more attention is contributed to physical and psychological requirements of individual who use the settings. This paper focus on Stress Reduction Theory(SRT)and Attention Restoration Theory(ART),combined with some measurements and contrastive experiments so as to explore the vital function of nature in healthcare settings. It turns out to be that the more contact with nature, the less pressure and the faster restoration of attention. We encourage healthcare design professionals and people who manage healthcare settings to take interventions and find more opportunities to connect people in healthcare settings to nature.By doing so,we can provide some suggestions to modern healthcare design.
