摘要
"日"字或读为"密",这一读音不见于韵书,却在宋以后广为流传。学者对此音的来源颇有争论,本文论证该读法与唐代晚期以来具注历中将日曜日注为"密"(或"蜜")的传统有关,来源于粟特语中表"太阳"义的"mīr"。
The pronunciation of the character ri(日,sun)as mi(密),though not recorded in any rhyme books,has been widespread since the Song dynasty.The origin of this pronunciation is still controversial among scholars.This paper relates this pronunciation with the tradition that the character ri(日)in the word riyaori(日曜日)is annotated with"mi(密)or mi(蜜)"in the Tang almanacs,claiming that the origin of this pronunciation is the word mīr in the Sogdian language which means"sun".
