摘要
王闿运受聘主讲四川尊经书院,是他传奇人生中备受关注的一件大事。而翻检相关史料,发现王闿运光绪四年"出山入川",接受总督丁宝桢邀聘,初衷并非充任尊经书院山长,后来他勉强受聘,却不安于位,拟想"辞师居友,聊尽所长",再展其"纵横名士"的奇才大略,扶助丁宝桢、刘长佑在西南成就霸业,但"赞幕无功,诲人复倦",于光绪十二年倦归湖南,留下一段"纵横计不就"的豪情与悲苦。
Wang Kaiyun was appointed to the principal of Zunjing Academy in Sichuan by the invitation of Ding Baozhen,the governor of Sichuan Province in 1878,which was regarded as one of the most important events in Wang’s legendary life.Related historical materials show that Wang’s original intention of accepting this invitation did hot serve as the principal of Zunjing Academy.Although he was unwillingly employed at last,he was really interested in guiding two governors Ding Baozhen and Liu Changyou to make political achievements in southwest China.Unfortunately,Wang’s wish was in vain,"accomplished nothing in politics and was tired of teaching",and went back to Hunan in 1886.The frustrations in Wang’s political experience left a vivid story full of passion and bitterness.
