摘要
英语教育兼具工具性和人文性,英语教师既教语言知识技能,也教人文社科知识。文章通过梳理语言教学和文化教学的关系、英语作为通用语的特殊性、我国高校英语教学中的母语文化失语现状以及我国外语教学改革中对文化教学作用的澄清,提出在我国高校英语教师资格认定中独立出文化知识测试,以测促学、以测促教,以教促学,进一步匡正、提升我国高校英语教学中的文化教学。
English education lies in both Instrumentality and Humanity so English teachers not only teach language knowledge and skills,but also some knowledge about humanities and social sciences.This paper,based on the analysis between language teaching and culture teaching,the particularity as lingua franca slang,the present situation of the absently native culture in English teaching in universities and the clarification of cultural teaching function in the English teaching reform,proposes to establish cultural test separately in the confirmation of English teacher qualification in Higher Education in China to promote cultural study by testing,to promote cultural teaching by testing and then to promote learning by teaching,which will help to correct and improve the cultural teaching in English teaching in higher education system in China.
