摘要
评价理论(Appraisal Theory)为语篇分析提供了一个崭新的视角。文章从评价的视角出发,在其级差次系统的框架下,对英、汉政治社论这一类负载意识形态倾向和政治动机,且具有很强意图性和可接受性特点的功能语篇进行对比分析,以期揭示二者在发挥重要人际调节功能的级差资源选择上的异同;同时,希望初步验证评价理论的级差系统对于汉语语篇人际意义的探讨具有一定的可操作性,为英、汉社论语篇的写作和批评性阅读提供一些启示和借鉴。
Appraisal Theory provides a new perspective for the discourse analysis. This paper, based on its sub-system-"Graduation", presents a contrastive analysis on the distribution of graduation realization as well as its interpersonal function in English and Chinese political editorials which are more ideological, intentional and persuasive, in the hope of making a try in applying the graduation sub-system to analyze Chinese editorials, and facilitating the editorial writing and critical reading.
