阎云翔教授的著作《私人生活的变革》,展现了1949年~1999年中国乡村私人生活的变化,是中国农民生活50年写真的典范之作。长期的田野调查是造就《私人生活的变革》成功的重要原因。《私人生活的变革》中田野调查法的使用,有成功之处亦有不足。以《私人生活的变革》为切入点,对田野调查法进行述评,对更有效的使用田野调查法会提供诸多有益的思考。
Professor Yan Yunxiang’s book, 'the change of private life', shows the changes in the private life of rural China from 1949 to 1999, which is a model for the 50 years of Chinese peasants’ life. Long term fieldwork is an important reason for the success of the transformation of private life. The use of fieldwork in the reform of private life has its successes and shortcomings. Taking the change of private life as the breakthrough point, the fieldwork survey method is reviewed, which will provide many useful thoughts for the more effective use of fieldwork.
