摘要
当今的管理知识体系在很大程度上是建立在欧美发达国家的学术研究发现的基础上的。随着中国经济的快速发展以及中国企业竞争力的增强,学术界和实践界越来越呼唤并鼓励在中国背景下进行本土的管理研究,从而为建立中国的管理理论、更有效地指导中国企业管理的实践并最终为丰富全球管理知识做出贡献。中国的本土管理研究的本质就是在开展学术研究中考虑到中国的具体情况,从而拓展已有的理论甚至建立新的管理理论。本文首先通过分析两种对情境敏感的研究,探讨三类全球管理知识理论;随后列举一些有影响的在中国背景下开展的研究,来说明高水平的本土研究实践。高水平的本土研究既能创造出适用于具体情境的知识,又能够为全球管理知识做出贡献。我们在文章的最后就如何开展高水平的本土管理研究提出若干建议。
The current management knowledge is based on the research findings in developed countries such as North America and Western Europe.With the rapid growth of China's economies and the in- creasing competitiveness of the enterprises in China, indigenous management research conducted in China's contexts is necessary.Findings from indigenous re- search can both offer guides for managerial practices of enterprises in China and contribute to the building of global management knowledge.Indigenous man- agement research requires that scholars consider the specific contexts in which the phenomenon under in- vestigation occurs,so that the existing models are generalized or even new models are built.This paper discusses three types of global management models through two types of context-sensitive research.It makes a case for high quality indigenous research,u- sing the influential studies on management in the Chi- nese context as illustrations.It offers guidelines on conducting high quality indigenous research that pro- duces contextualized knowledge on the one hand and contributes to global knowledge on the other.
