contained the The earliest Trepang Routes maritime routes connected Oceania to China from the Northern coast of Australia and the Easternmost Routes with Sydney as a center. Although the former ones were still parts of the traditional Tribute System, the later ones were integrated into the Capitalist global market system and served for the expansion of resource frontier by the European colonialists. Sealing performed a significant role in the establishment of the Easternmost Routes. It not only benefited to the Australian economy and strengthened the inner connection of the Pacific Islands, but also paved the way for the further exchanges between China and the Oceania.
