Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with rotatory hand-holding method in the treatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type. Methods: 72 patients with cervical spondylopathy of nerve root type were diagnosed and 70 patients who met the standard were randomly divided into observation group ( n=35 ) and control group ( n=35 ). The observation group was treated by acupuncture combined with the method of hand rotation, and the acupuncture mainly consisted of Baihui, Jianjin, Dazhui, Fengchi and Hegu and combined with the method of neck rotation and holding hands. The control group was treated with acupuncture alone, the theme and manipulation of acupuncture were the same as those in the observation group. Both the observation group and the control group were treated with 1/d, 7 days of continuous treatment as a course of treatment. There were 3 courses of treatment. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the single acupuncture method af- ter treatment. After treatment, the VAS score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the cervical curvature recovery was obvious. The difference was statistically significant ( P〈0.05 ). Conclusion: the treatment of cervical spondylopathy of nerve root type by acupuncture combined
