The sage is the highest ideal of Confucianism, which generally includes two aspects namely the vir- tue and his undertaking. Wang Yangming' s concept of sage is unique. He explains the connotation of the sage from a flesh perspective that the moral accomplishment is the only standard as a sage. He clarifies that the direction of learning lies in the inherent virtue of self-realization, excluding the knowledge, skills and undertaking regulation. He compares the sage as the fine gold, and there is a sage in the mind of everyone. The inner conscience of heart is the basis of sage. As long as you can achieve and expand the conscience of heart, this is a sage.
