摘要
中国社会教育社作为民国时期社会教育界全国性的学术团体,引领并规范着近现代社会教育发展路径。从理事会组成看,囊括其时社会教育界专家和主要教育行政官员,成员更迭频率不大。理事会成员的社会网络和社会结构表明,当选标准不仅有学术水平高低及对社务关心程度的考量,地域因素、学缘关系、社会声望、留学国别及行政职务都是重要筹码。此种架构为联络同志、扩大社务提供极大便利,为社教社从众多昙花一现的学术团体中脱颖而出,并成为全国性学术团体提供了坚实的组织保障,但这一定程度上背离了他们所追求的西方学术社团遵循的民主精神和民主程序,缺乏对新成员的吸纳力,成为一把双刃剑。从这个意义上讲,中国社会教育社领导群体在传统与现代之间踌躇趔趄的状态,同样折射到整个社会教育家群体,并成为民国社会教育发展变迁的普遍特征。
Social Education Association,a national academic community of social education in the Republic of China,leads and institutionalizes the development path of modern social education. In terms of the council composition,it consists of the experts in the field of social education and the important officials of educational administrations at that time with low frequency of alternation. The analysis of the social network and structure of council members shows that the selection standards are based not merely on the academic standards and the devotion of scholars to the association,but also on the other indexes,such as the geographical factors,educational relation,social reputation,the different foreign countries the scholars once studied in and the administrative ranks. This kind of structure provides great convenience for extending their working scopes and maintaining the networks of the association and further guarantees the outstanding of the association among those short-life academic communities and the ending up as a national academic community. However,to some extent,it deviates from the democratic spirits and process,which the Social Education Association once pursued and the western academic communities followed. Consequently,the attraction of the association to new members decreased. From this point,the dilemma situation between modern and tradition that the leaders of the association were struggled with also reflects on the whole group of social education educationists,and has become the universal character of the development of social education in the Republic of China.
