摘要
《一直想对你说》是2013年诺贝尔文学奖获得者艾丽丝·门罗早期代表作之一,其非线性的叙述是艾丽丝·门罗在小说创作进程中探索实验主义小说叙述方式的一次成功尝试。作品在记忆书写、意识流手法、多视角叙述等非线性叙述技巧的展现中构建了完整而曲折的故事情节、塑造了逼真的人物形象、再现了历史画面,体现了作者对现实主义创作的传承和突破。非线性叙述也赋予了作品超越传统现实主义的现实感。
Alice Munro won the 2013 Nobel Prize for literature. Something I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You is one of her earlier masterpieces. Its nonlinear narrative is a successful trial of experiment novel in Munro’s writing career. The nonlinear narrative techniques of the writing of memory, the stream of consciousness and the multi-perspective construct an impressive and complete story, create vivid figures, and recall historical events, which can present Munro’s will to inherit and transcend realism, and grant the novel a sense of reality beyond traditional realism.
