麻省理工学院媒体实验室创造了影响世界未来的高新技术。它何以取得如此成就?水乳交融般的跨学科研究无疑是核心因素。它倡导跨学科乃至反学科研究,鼓励研究人员在学科空白处大胆探索,在多学科交叉融合中不仅碰撞出意想不到的"大思想",产生了许多颠覆性的创新成果,还培养了众多具有跨界思维的未来科学家,是跨学科研究的典范,我国研究型大学在创建世界一流综合交叉学科进程中应高度重视、借鉴它们的经验。
The MIT Media Lab has created high technology that will impact the future of the world. How did it achieve such success？ The interdisciplinary research is undoubtedly the key factor. It advocates interdisciplinary even anti-discipline research, and encourages researchers to explore the blank of disciplines. It not only sparks unexpected ＂big ideas＂ in multidisciplinary integration thus produces many groundbreaking innovations, but also cultivates many future scientists with cross-border thinking. It is an excellent role model of interdisciplinary research. Our universities should attach great importance to and learn from their experiences in the process of creating world-class integrated interdisciplinarity.
