Cultivating Chinese Teenagers into the Flourishing of Their Lives——The Construction of Practice System for Chinese Juveniles Based on Cultural Consciousness and Life Confidence

摘要当代中国教育迫切需要一种精神的自觉,也即自觉育人的使命所在,自觉地培养文化—生命意义上的中国人。中国人的培育始自少年阶段。如何从文化自觉与生命自信的双重需要出发,切实地培育文化—生命意义上的中国少年,就成了当前中小学学校教育的灵魂所在。中国少年培育,并不是把中国少年与他国少年简单分隔,而是一种人性成长的方式。中国少年培育实践体系,试图以培育自信豪迈的中国少年为根本取向,以"育中国少年,成生命气象"为核心理念,以"立健康身心、赏人间万物、游六艺五经、涵古今中西、养精神气魄、成中国少年"为实践序列。中国少年培育着眼于在历史的长河中彰显健全的民族个性与自信,同时又保持自身向着世界各民族的开放性,以蓬勃的生命气象与健全的人格姿态贡献于人类。 Contemporary Chinese education urgently needs a kind of spiritual consciousness, which is also the mission of consciously cultivating people, namely, consciously cultivating the Chinese in the sense of culture and life. The cultivation of the Chinese people should begin at their youth stage. How to cultivate Chinese teenagers in the sense of culture and life from the dual needs of cultural consciousness and life confidence has become the soul of the current school education in primary and secondary schools. We think that the cultivation of Chinese juveniles should not be a simple separation of Chinese teenagers from other countries, but rather a way of human growth. The educational and practical system towards Chinese juveniles, attempts to cultivate a confident and prosperous Chinese youth as its fundamental orientation, takes the principle of ＂bringing Chinese teenagers into the flourishing of their lives＂ as its core concept, and establishes the principle of ＂establishing healthy bodies and minds, admiring all things, traveling through the Six Arts and Five Classics, fostering ancient and modern Chinese and Western culture, conserving their spirits and becoming a real Chinese teenager＂ as the practice sequence. The cultivation of Chinese juvenile focuses on showing a sound national personality and self-confidence in the long river of history, while maintaining its openness to all the nations in the world, and contributing to human beings with a vigorous life atmosphere and a sound personality.
