In this paper, the quantitative index method and model method were used to study the water conservation, biodiversity, soil conservation and windbreak and sediment conservation ecological service functions in Qinghai Province. The service function of different models uses GIS to carry on the spatial superposition processing, and obtain the total value of ecosystem services in Qinghai Province. According to the analysis of the net primary productivity( NPP) in Qinghai Province,it is found that the vegetation cover with good water, light and thermal conditions is better, and the quantitative index method has few evaluation factors. The relevant data are easy to obtain, but the evaluation result is only qualitative analysis. Factor, the relevant data should not be obtained, but the evaluation results for the quantitative analysis, very small area evaluation and actual match. Based on the characteristics of the two models, this paper uses the " quantitative index method" to obtain the evaluation data of windbreak and sand fixation function and the comprehensive analysis of water conservation and soil conservation function evaluation data obtained by " model method". This method is more objective to evaluate the ecological service function of Qinghai Province, and also provides a strong scientific basis for the next step in Qinghai province ecological red line.
