Educational Spirit and Wisdom in Chinese Philosophical Tradition

摘要 以儒家为主体、儒道释并存的思想格局呈现的价值取向、基本的思维方式及其存在方式构成的中国哲学传统具有存在的独特和意义,它内含着教育精神与智慧,形成了基于中国哲学传统的教育哲学。从天地人相通相生、人应依天道之法而行、人在天地万物之间的特殊地位与关系的天人关系的三层意义,可见天人合一内含的教育精神。以人生为对象的修习践行,是解决人何以成人、立身、成事这一由天人合一引申出的核心问题的重要途径。由此,"教育"一词的中国式表达为"教天地人事育生命自觉"。中国哲学传统中重智慧胜于重知识与经验,导致了中国哲学传统中认识事物方法论和思维方式的独特:重综合思维,着力于整体与关系的认识;形成互通互化的关系思维,并进行关系范型推演;运用时势运转的思维方式,关注转化过程中条件变化和关节点。 The Chinese philosophical tradition,composed of Confucianism as the main body and the coexistence ofConfucianism,Taoism and Buddhism,has the uniqueness and significance in value orientation,basic mode of thinkingand way of existence. It contains educational spirit and wisdom,and forms an educational philosophy based on thetraditional Chinese philosophy. The understanding of the relationship between man and nature shows the educational spiritof the unity of man and nature,ie.,that the nature,the earth and human beings are interlinked,that man should actaccording to the law of the nature,and that man has the special status in the nature and the interlinked relations. Takinglife as the object of study and practice is an important way to solve the problem of how man grows up,stays upright andbecomes successful,the core issue derived from the unity of nature and man. Thus,the Chinese expression of education isto teach the knowledge of nature and man,and to raise the consciousness of life. The Chinese philosophical traditionvalues wisdom more than knowledge and experience,which leads to the uniqueness of methodology and mode of thinking:emphasizing on comprehensive thinking and the understanding of the whole and relations;focusing on the changingconditions and key points in the process of transformation by applying the thinking mode of continuous changing.
