Objective: To explore the effect of adenosine on the distal microvessels of experimental femoral artery stenosis. Methods: Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups: experimental groups (femoral artery ligated) and control groups (threading without ligation under the femoral artery). According to the detection methods, each group was divided into optical microangiograph group, 2-photon group and Adora2a receptor immunohistochemical group. And all of them were injected with adenosine in the tail vein. Results: Adenosine could reduce the blood flow and the number of microvessels in the distal segment of the femoral artery in the experimental group. The expression of adenosine Adora2a receptor in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group. Conclusion: Adenosine has vasoconstrietive effect in the experimental stenosis model of femoral artery, and this is related to the change of the content of adenosine Adora2 a receptor.
