摘要
直径42 mm的40Cr钢圆钢经调质处理后,发现开裂。为了弄清圆钢开裂的原因,对有裂纹的圆钢进行了宏观检验、化学成分分析、硬度测试和金相检验。圆钢的化学成分、非金属夹杂物含量均符合要求,但局部组织粗大,有脱碳现象。据此可以推断,圆钢开裂是由其淬火温度过高所致。
Crack was observed on the 40Cr steel round bar 42 mm in diameter after quenching and high tempering.In order to discover the reason why the round bar cracked, macroscopic examination, chemical composition analysis, hardness measurements, and metallographic examination were performed. The results showed that both chemical composition and non-metallic inclusion in the round bar came up to the requirements, but the round bar offered partially coarse structure and decarburized layer. From this fact it is concluded that the 40Cr steel round bar cracking is attributed to excessively high temperature of heating for hardening.
