摘要
本文从马建忠"善译"理论出发,对《南京条约》和《天津条约》中英文版本进行对比,探析其是否可以称得上"善译",并探究其缘由。个案研究表明,清朝末年,政治文本类翻译,缺乏准确性和严谨性。究其缘由,主要是缺乏专业的精通中英文的翻译人才。
This thesis makes a comparative analysis of the Chinese and English versions of “Treaty of Nanjing” and “Treaty of Tianjin” from the perspective of “ Good Translation” of Ma Jianzhong and analyzes whether they can be regarded as good translations and probes into the maincause. The case study shows that the translation of political texts in the late Qing Dynasty is lack of accuracy and rigor mainly because of the lack of professional translators beingproficient in Chinese and English.
