摘要
本文选取广东岭南地区某景点参观须知为例,以功能目的论为指导,结合文本之于受众群体产生的预期功能以及文体风格特点两大因素,分析目前相关资料英译的不足,并探讨目的法则、连贯法则及忠实法则在旅游外宣文本英译中的运用,旨在提高旅游资料的翻译质量,更好发挥其传递信息与呼唤读者的作用。
Guided by Skopos Theory, based on the text's intended functions to TL readers and its stylistic features , the paper analyzes the unsolved issues in the field of tourist publicity text C - E translation, by a case study on visitor instructions of a certain scenic spot located in Guangdong Province, south China, with discussion on the applications of Skopos Theory's three rules Skopos Rule, Coherence Rule and Fidelity Rule, aiming at improving the translation quality of tourist materials and better playing their informative and vocative roles.
