摘要
敦煌研究院院长段文杰为敦煌研究院的发展做出了巨大的贡献,并开创了"段文杰时代"。作为敦煌艺术研究者,他在敦煌艺术研究方面做出了开创性的贡献。段文杰不仅为奋起夺回敦煌学中心呐喊呼吁,而且还特别注重敦煌研究院院史和敦煌学学术史的编写,并身体力行,做了许多具体的工作。本文转录了新公布的6封段文杰给王子云、何正璜夫妇的信件,从中看到段先生对院史和学术史编写的构想和计划,请求王子云夫妇将《莫高窟全图》赠送研究院,并写文章表彰王子云于20世纪40年代初率团考察敦煌、临摹壁画、进行敦煌艺展的功绩和贡献。
Duan Wenjie,former director of the Dunhuang Academy,made great contributions to the development of the institution and ushered in the ＂Duan Wenjie era＂ of Dunhuang Studies.As a Dunhuang art researcher,he carried out a comprehensive and systematic exploration of Dunhuang art and made pioneering achievements in the field.Duan Wenjie not only advocated the rise of Dunhuang Studies of China,but also paid special attention to the history of the academy and the academic history of Dunhuang Studies,personally contributing a great amount of time and energy to these causes.This article transcribes six newly published letters written by Duan Wenjie to the couple Wang Ziyun and He Zhenghuang,the content of which reveals that Mr.Duan compiled a comprehensive concept and plan of the history of the Dunhuang Academy and the academic history of Dunhuang Studies.He asked Wang Ziyun and He Zhenghuang to present ＂ the panorama of the Mogao Grottoes＂ to the Academy while writing articles in recognition of the achievements and contributions made by Wang Ziyun when he led his delegation to investigate the Dunhuang caves,copy murals,and hold art exhibitions in the early 1940 s.
