摘要
本研究旨在探讨第三语言学习(日语或韩语)对中国日、韩语专业学习者二语元语言意识的影响。研究主要采用了国外元语言意识测试卷。结果表明,第三语言学习经历对学习者二语元语言意识总体水平具有显著影响,日、韩语专业学习者二语元语言意识总水平及二语语言水平均显著高于无第三语言学习经历的非语言专业学习者;此外,不同三语学习经历对二语元语言意识的影响存在差异,韩语专业学习者的二语理解和接受元语言意识及二语水平均显著高于日语专业学习者。
The study aims to examine the effects of third language learning(Japanese or Korean)on metalinguistic awareness in second language among Chinese EFL learners.Metalinguistic Awareness Test was employed in individual research sessions to investigate the development of metalinguistic awareness in their second language of intermediate Chinese EFL learners learning Japanese or Korean as a third language.The results indicated third language learning has a significant effect on the metalinguistic awareness of Chinese EFL learners.The overall level of metalinguistic awareness in Japanese and Korean language learners were higher than that of EFL learners without a third language learning experience.And their proficiency in second language was significantly higher than that of non-language majors.Different third language learning experiences had different effects on the metalinguistic awareness.Korean majors’ metalinguistic awareness in comprehension and acceptance sub-tests and their second language proficiency were significantly higher than that of Japanese majors.
