Medical anthropology attempts to use the "psychological-physiological-social" body as an intermediary between individuals and others, individuals and society as a whole. By reviewing the medical anthropology ethnography, this article has discussed the symbolization of body boundary, the "embodiment" of power, rank, class and other social boundaries, as well as the projection of social and historical changes in the body. Since the 21st century, through a series of reflections, medical anthropology attempts to transcend the boundary of body, eventually achieve the goal of reforming social categories and social orders, as well as injecting more vitality into society and individuals. The research path can be summarized as follows: reflecting the western- centralism view of the body-introducing different cultural perspectives-extending them to and renewing modern medical concepts.
