教育期望的城乡差异:家庭背景与学校环境的影响 被引量:38

The Influences of Family and School Factors on Urban-Rural Differences in Educational Aspirations

摘要 本研究使用"中国教育追踪调查(CEPS)"2013-2014学年基线数据,考察了教育期望城乡差异的现状和影响因素。研究发现,我国初中学生的教育期望存在显著城乡差异,城市户口学生的教育期望高于农村户口学生。这种差异受家庭背景(家庭社会经济地位和家长期望)和学校环境(学校质量和学校城乡区位)两种力量的共同形塑,其中家庭背景是首要力量。另外,关于学校环境的交互分析进一步表明,学校质量对教育期望的积极效应不存在城乡差异,而学校城乡区位的效应则存在城乡差异,农村学生进入城市学校可以提高教育期望,但仍落后于同校的城市学生。本研究认为,保障农村学生获得与城市学生相同质量的教育资源可以缩小教育期望差异,是推动城乡教育均衡发展的有效措施。 Based on baseline data of the China Educational Panel Survey 2013-2014, this paper examined the urban-rural gaps in educational aspirations among junior students and how family backgrounds (socioeconomic status and parental aspirations) and school factors (school quality and school location) affected the gaps. The author found: (1)urban students were more likely to have higher educational aspirations than rural students; (2)The urban-rural gaps were shaped by both family backgrounds and school factors; (3)Family backgrounds was the primary contributor of the urban-rural gaps (about 70%), and the school segregation contributed about 30% of the gaps; (4)The interaction model indicates that rural students had lower aspirations than their urban classmates even they were relocated in urban schools. The results imply that the equal reachability of educational resources for urban and rural students is a necessary practice to decrease the aspiration gaps and then improve educational equality in China
