Objective To investigate the effect of pricking blood on platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and neuron specific enolase (NSE) in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI). Methods 60 cases of ACI patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 30 cases in each group. Both groups received routine drug treatment; in addition, patients in the observation group received pricking blood. After 7 days of treatment, the levels of PDGF and NSE were compared between two groups. Results Before treatment, no statistical difference was found between two groups in the levels of PDGF or NSE (P〉0.05). After 7 days of treatment, the level of PDGF of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group, and the level of NSE of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (P 〈0.05). Conclusions On the basis of routine drug treatment, pricking blood applied in patients with acute cerebral infarction can significantly improve the PDGF level and reduce the NSE level of patients, which is conducive to the rehabilitation of neurological function and improvement of prognosis of patients.
