摘要
杨宪益先生是我国当代著名翻译家,是我国翻译史上为数不多致力于典籍英译的翻译家之一,他一生译著等身,无愧为当代译界之泰斗。概述杨宪益的翻译贡献,并从翻译目的、翻译标准以及翻译策略等方面阐述其翻译观有利于提高我国译者素质,促进典籍外译事业的发展。
Yang Xianyi is a famous contemporary translator in China and is one of the few translators who dedicate themselves to the translation of Chinese classics. He is respected as a leading authority in the field of translation tbr his great achievement. This paper first introduces his translation contributions, and then elaborates on his views on translation from the perspective of translation purpose, translation standard and translation strategy, so as to help the present translators to improve themselves and promote the development of China＇s classics translation cause.
