摘要
本研究利用语音编辑合成技术和言语理解实验,考察了不同背景噪音对二语学习者汉语言语理解的影响。结果发现:对于背景噪音的干扰作用,不能笼统概括为从能量掩蔽到信息掩蔽的简单梯度效应;背景噪音所包含的词汇语义信息对二语学习者的言语理解会带来明显干扰,但整句语义信息并不会带来额外影响;初级和高级汉语水平学习者仅在词列句条件下的差异不显著,其他条件下的差异都显著。上述结果表明背景噪音对二语学习者言语理解的影响既受到噪音本身所包含信息的制约,也受到学习者汉语水平的调节。研究结果有助于进一步揭示背景噪音对二语言语理解掩蔽效应的作用机制,对二语教学实践也有积极的参考价值。
Using speech editing and synthesizing techniques, the present study exam- ined the interfering effects of various types of noise on Mandarin speech comprehension by L2 learners. The results showed that (1) there were no graded interfering effects caused by energetic and informational masking, (2) while lexical meanings of the competing speech affected speech comprehension by L2 listeners, sentence meanings did not have an extra interfering effect, (3) listeners with low and high L2 proficiencies differed in speech comprehension under all the listening conditions other than the wordqist condition. These results indicate that the interfering effects of noise on Mandarin speech comprehension by L2 learners are not only confined by characteristics of noise but also modulated by L2 proficiency of the listener. Our findings contribute to better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the interfering effects of noise on L2 speech comprehension, and also have practical implications for L2 teaching.
