摘要
一直以来,赵元任先生被认为是提出汉语"羡余"这一术语并对其研究的第一人。梳理1836至1968一百多年间部分有关汉语研究的中外文献发现,从德国传教士郭实腊、清代学者俞樾,到赵元任等10位中外学者都研究了汉语"羡余"现象,美国汉学家卢公明明确提出了"羡余"的早期汉语术语"饶足句色"。中国学者主要关注由词义重复、语义磨损、词汇双音化,结构融合等引起的"羡余",西方学者主要关注由音韵和谐、行文布局、区别同音词等引起的"羡余"。
Mr. Zhao Yuanren has long been ＂Xian Yu＂ in Chinese. Through analyzing 1968, the author finds that more than regarded as the first person to put forward the term a few Chinese and foreign literature from 1836 to 10 domestic and overseas scholars studied the phenomenon of ＂Xian Yu＂, including German missionary Guo Shila, scholar in Qing Dynasty Yu Yue, and Zhao Yuanren, among whom American Sinologist Lu Gongming explicitly put forward the ＂Xian Yu＂ of the early Chinese term ＂give full sentence color＂. Chinese scholars pay more attention to the ＂Xian Yu＂ caused by repetition of word meaning, semantic attrition, disyllabic vocabulary and structural fusion, while western scholars pay more attention to ＂Xian Yu＂ caused by harmony of phonology, layout of writing and distinguishing homophones.
