摘要
雷蒙·威廉斯是20世纪重要的马克思主义理论家、英国文化研究者和文化行动主义者。在与英国新左派的不断切磋、磨合中,威廉斯发展出了自己独特的"文化唯物主义"等核心思想。本文将威廉斯的认识演进置于英国新左派的历史语境中进行分析,认为威廉斯的认识论存在着"青年威廉斯"和"成年威廉斯"两个不同的历史阶段。在彼此相互联系的历史过程中,威廉斯得以逐渐接近马克思主义,不断深化了历史唯物主义的文化研究路径。
As one of the most important Marxist theorists, British Cultural Studies founders and political activists in the 20th century, Raymond Williams shaped his core thoughts through deep discussions with and debates against the British New Leftists. In this sense, the paper contextualizes the formation of Williams＇ thoughts into the New Leftist politics from 1950s. It argues that Williams develops his Marist epistemology, rather than a rupture, from ＂Young Williams＂ to ＂Mature Williams＂ period, which contributes to the then-robust revival of the British New Left theories and English revolutionary practices.
