摘要
《在中国屏风上》是毛姆的中国游记,作为一个"观光者",毛姆所呈现的"中国屏风"难免是一副光怪陆离的中国形象,其中不乏文化误读内容。国内目前有两种《在中国屏风上》的汉译本,译者在处理文学作品中文化误读内容采用的策略也不尽相同。通过文本对比法、案例分析法,可将英文原文和两种汉译本进行参照和对比,以探讨文学作品中文化误读的翻译策略。
On a Chinese Screen is William Somerset Maugham＇s traveling notes. As a traveler, Maugham＇s Chinese screen is in-evitably a fantastic but weird picture of China, which includes some misreadings of Chinese culture. So far, there have been two Chinese versions of On a Chinese Screen. The translators adopted different translating strategies when dealing with the cultural misreadings in lit-erary works. Based on the approaches of text comparison and case analysis, the paper compares the original English text with the two Chi-nese versions, exploring the translation strategies of cultural misreadings in the literary works.
