摘要
本文结合文思理教授的学术生涯,分析其研究的问题与知识体系的形成与发展,进而阐明长期的田野调查、民族志基础、生命经验以及由之延伸的文化比较与区域视野,对一位人类学家的重要影响。面对知识更新日益迅速的信息时代,文思理教授在不断吸收新知的同时,也在善意地提醒我们,田野工作与民族志,依旧是人类学学科发展的基础。而文思理教授对生命故事、地方历史与政治经济学的关注,则体现出他从地方、区域到全球的人文关怀,对后世学者产生深远影响。
After describing the career of Professor Sidney W. Mintz as an anthropologist, and examining his theoretical and research interests as well as his anthropological knowledge,the paper then emphasizes the significance of his long-term ethnographic fieldwork, life experiences, cross-cultural comparison and regional perspectives. Despite the rapid development of knowledge in the information age, Professor Sidney Mintz reminds us that fieldwork and ethnography are still important to anthropology. The discussion also shows Professor Sidney Mintz＇s humanistic concern in his focus on individual stories, which he locates in the Local and Regional to the Global and historical contexts, and all this will no doubt serve as inspiration for younger scholars.
