摘要
按照苏格拉底在《斐德若》中的论述,"回忆"是凡人的灵魂同灵魂的原初状态相联系的通道,而美的光亮照亮了这条通向灵魂原初视野的道路。这种视野能让灵魂回到堕落之前的状态,即哲学的状态。在苏格拉底看来,回到这一状态的最大障碍在于意见,尤其是城邦的公共意见。在这一语境下,恢复灵魂的原初视野,首要意涵在于超出城邦意见,即习俗。在这个意义上,"回忆"体现在从城邦意见的洞穴中解放出来,发现或找回自然的视野。美在此过程中能够起到别的存在无法起到的作用。
According to Socrates＇ accounts in Phaedrus, ＂recollection＂ is the passage that links the souls of the mortals to the original states of the souls while the brightness of beauty illuminates this path to the original hori- zons of souls. Such horizons enable the souls back to the state before their degeneration, namely a philosophical state. In Socrates＇ opinion, the biggest obstacle to the return of this state lies in opinion, especially the public opinion of the polis. ＂Under this context, the recovery of original horizons of the souls primarily implies the tran- scendence of the polls＇ opinion, namely Nomos. In this sense, ＂recollection＂ reflects the liberation from the o- pinions of the polis as the cave, discovering or recovering the horizons of nature. Beauty can have a unique effect that the other beings fail to do in this process.
