摘要
本文再次审视了清末国人办报的历程和特点,重新考量了它们作为启蒙工具的角色。这些自办报刊在突破报禁、启蒙新学方面作出了突出的贡献,也彻底改善了报刊在国人心目当中的认知;更为重要的是它们的启蒙角色使其成为文人论政的载体,使仕子们承接了心忧天下、报国成仁的传统,使现代报刊真正融入中国社会。
This article once again examines the history and characteristics of the Self-run newspapers in the late Qing Dynasty and reconsiders their role as enlightening tools. These newspapers have made outstanding contributions to breaking the newspaper ban and enlightening new learning, and have completely improved the cognition of newspapers and periodicals in the minds of the Chinese people. More importantly, their enlightening roles make them become the platform of the political participation of the literati, so that they have inherited the tradition of serving the country and make the modern newspapers and periodicals truly integrate into Chinese society.
