摘要
华裔美国文学作为美国少数族裔文学中十分重要的一个分支,其作品为华裔在美国主流社会发声,争取华裔在美国的平等地位,更重要的是为华裔在美国主流社会确立其身份,汤亭亭作为华裔文学的代表人物,其作品旨在为华裔发声,反抗主流社会对华裔的压迫,其代表作《女勇士》,反映了华裔女性遭受的双重压迫,即——华裔父权的压迫和美国主流社会的压迫。本文旨在从后殖民女性主义的角度解读汤亭亭在《女勇士》中反抗双重压迫的尝试。
Chinese American literature is an important division in American Minority literature,they work as an propaganda for Chinese Americans in the mainstream society,and also they serve to justify the equality of the Chinese Americans. More importantly,it builds a unique identity for Chinese Americans in the mainstream society. As a representative of Chinese American literature,Maxine Kingston's works speak for the Chinese Americans and resist against the oppression upon them. Her master work The Woman Worrior reflects the dual-oppression on Chinese American women——oppression from male and the oppression from the mainstream society. This thesis intends to analyze on the dual-oppression on women in Maxine Kingston's The Woman Warrior from the perspective of Post—colonialism and Feminism.
