摘要
汤显祖在我国古典戏剧和文学史上占据极高的地位。我们应立足于汤显祖和莎士比亚这两位文化伟人逝世400周年纪念的际遇,向海外传播汤显祖戏剧的英译,这将有助于世人了解并欣赏中国古典戏剧和文学的成就。
Tang Xianzu occupies a very high position in Chinese literary history. The historic occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of Tang Xianzu and Shakespeare should be taken full advantage of to disseminate Tang Xianzu＇ s dramas overseas, which will help foreign readers to appreciate the achievements and values of Chinese classic dramas and literature.
