摘要
权力话语理论认为,翻译活动受到社会、历史、文化传统、意识形态、伦理观念等各种各样的权力的制约。《论语》在中国典籍中的地位举足轻重,也因此成为翻译最多的典籍之一。文章选取理雅各、辜鸿铭、刘殿爵三位译者,以历史语境这一权力话语为切入点,探讨历史语境对翻译的操控。
Foucault＇s theory of power discourse believes that translation activities are often subjected to the constraints of society,history,cultural customs,ideology and ethics. Lun Yu is a pivotal member among the Chinese classics,which makes it one of the most widely translated texts. Choosing the texts of the following three translators James Legge,Ku Hung- ming and D. C. Lau as examples,this paper takes the ＂ historical context＂ as the point of view and probes into its manipulation in the translation.
