摘要
大量外出务工的农村居民不能将子女带在身边,形成了农村留守儿童问题。父母外出对农村儿童的教育获得是否有不利影响?本文利用CFPS2010数据,运用Probit模型分析了父母外出对农村儿童教育获得的影响。结果显示:与父母均在家的农村儿童相比,"仅父亲外出"显著改善了农村儿童的教育获得,而"仅母亲外出"和"父母均外出"对农村儿童教育获得的影响均不显著;"父亲因务工外出"通过改善家庭经济条件,可以改善农村儿童的教育获得;而没有直接证据表明,"母亲因务工外出"会有利于农村儿童的教育获得。
In China,numerous rural labors migrate to cities for work,leaving their children behind together with other family members at hometown.What is the impact of parental labor migration on the educational attainment of left-behind children? This article adopts a Probit Model to conduct an estimation,using the CFPS2010 data.The results indicate that compared to the samples in which both fathers and mothers remain in their hometown with their children,the educational attainment of left-behind children has been significantly improved in the case when only fathers migrate to cities for work.This is owing to the improvement of their families' economic conditions.However,no significant influences are found in the case when only mothers or both mothers and fathers migrate.
