The Chinese and Japanese role of East Asian market provider has great changed during the past 3 decades, China's position as East Asian market provider for primary products, intermediate products and final capital goods rises rapidly. On the contrary, the size of market provided by Japan to East Asia for the primary products and intermediate products continues to shrink. At present, China has surpassed Japan to become the largest market provider in East Asia, but in the field of final consumer goods market providing for East Asia, China is still at far behind of Japan. The reason of role changed is the result of East Asian regional economic and trade development, especially for China and Japan. The impact of changing role as the East Asian market provider is speculated that China would enhance its dominance in the East Asian regional and economic cooperation, even in the world economy. However, Japan's primitive leading role tends to weaken. Furthermore, China rising as providers of final products market in East Asia significantly reduce the other countries within this region's external dependent on the market of US, etc..
