摘要
《荒野的呼唤》是美国近代作家杰克·伦敦重要的小说著作之一。在小说中,杰克·伦敦通过一条狗的视角来写人类社会,从而不断地反映出人与自然的关系,并对人与自然的关系今后应该何去何从进行了深刻的思考。除此之外,达尔文"物竞天择,适者生存"的思想也是贯彻在这本书中,通过巴克的奋斗反映了"弱肉强食"的社会。杰克·伦敦正如同现实中的巴克,不断地为了生存而努力着,并且在最后针对生命的意义究竟是什么而陷入了深深的思考。基于此,具体探讨杰克·伦敦《荒野的呼唤》多重性主题以及对现代社会的启示意义。
The Call of the Wild is one of modern British writer Jack London＇s novels,where he depicts the human society from the perspective of a dog to reflect the relationship between human and nature,and makes serious reflection on the development trend of human-nature relationship. Besides,Darwin＇s idea of natural selection and the survival of the fittest is permeated in this book as seen from the struggle of Buck which reveals the society based on the law of the jungle. Just like Buck,Jack London struggles for survival and is lost in thought of the meaning of life. Therefore,this paper discusses the multiple themes of The Call of the Wild and its enlightenment to the current society.
