摘要
隐喻作为一种认知手段和思维方式,对人们认识世界起着重要作用。文章以概念隐喻理论为框架,考察了英汉两种语言中"云"的概念隐喻。在对英汉"云"隐喻的共性和差异性进行分析的基础上,对英汉民族在以"云"这一自然现象理解其他范畴时的异同进行了阐释,旨在加深人们对隐喻思维方式的理解并提高跨文化交际能力。
As a cognitive tool and a way of thinking, metaphor plays a fundamental role in the process of understanding new things and the world. Within the framework of the Conceptual Metaphor Theory, the paper makes an analysis of the conceptual metaphors of cloud in English and Chinese. The paper analyzes and explains the similarities and differences of cloud metaphors in English and Chinese in an attempt to deepen people＇s understanding of metaphorical thinking and facilitate inter-cultural communication.
