摘要
镇江沿江地区松散层之下的一套砂泥岩系列的沉积岩,前人根据附近少量揭示基岩的钻孔和露头推测为上白垩统浦口组。通过揭示基岩的钻孔,岩性主要为火山碎屑岩,与下白垩统的岩性特征相符,所以将松散层之下的基岩重新定义为下白垩统上党组和葛村组。
The basement rocks beneath loose fluvial deposits in the Zhengjiang area along the Yangtze River have been regarded as the Upper Cretaceous Pukou Formation by previous investigators on the basis of limited outcrop and drill core data.A restudy of drill cores shows that these basement rocks consist mainly of volcaniclastic sediments that are lithologically similar to Lower Cretaceous rocks in this region.Thus,the basement rocks are reclassified as the Lower Cretaceous Shangdang and Gecun formations.
