This article reports that 6 sex hormones' level (FSH. LH. E. P. T. PRL) was measured in 28 cases of female with SLE. The results revealed that LH and E_2were remarkably increased, T was singnificantly decreased and E_2/T was significantly increased. Compared with inactive patients, T and E_2/T in active cases differed more greatly. A correlated analysis found that the changes of sex hormones were not associated with the severity of the disease. The authors believe that the changes of sex hormones can be used as one of the laboratory criteria in diagnosing SLE.
