摘要
大规模网络公开课(MOOC)作为未来高等教育一个重要的组成部分已经成为目前研究的热点。本研究从网易"国际名校公开课"中提取了10门由哈佛大学等七所大学教师执教的课程共150集教学视频约99万字的英语字幕文本作为研究的语料,通过使用计算机语料库检索软件Range的统计与分析,探究MOOC教师课堂用语的词汇数量、词汇密度和词汇使用跨度等各种词汇特征。为中国大学生选修或自学MOOC课程提供词汇学习方面的有益帮助,同时也为中国大学英语教师的词汇教学提供参考。
As a vital component of future higher education, Massive Open Online Course(MOOC) has become the research focus currently. Based on the extraction of 990,000 English subtitle text from 150 online teaching videos provided by Harvard and other world-famous universities, the lexical characteristics of classroom language such as lexical types, tokens, density as well as range are analyzed and explored in this essay with the aid of computer software Range. The research data can serve as guidance and reference for Chinese undergraduates and lecturers in their English vocabulary learning and teaching.
