《亚鲁王》是贵州西部苗族的一部关于万物起源、战争迁徙的史诗,古老而灿烂。由于历史、文化和地理等原因,《亚鲁王》在对文化根源及对战争迁徙的描述中不仅具有浓郁的悲剧意味,同时蕴藏着丰富的精神文化内涵。史诗中所反映出来的生命意识、化生意识以及尚力意识,不仅体现了苗人平等看待与尊重生命的"万物有灵"思想,同时也折射出苗族人坚忍不拔的精神特质。史诗不仅是对现实困境的悲剧性反映,也是对悲剧性生存现实的精神把握。探究史诗中所蕴含的意识特征,对于准确把握和理解西部苗族的文化和精神具有重要意义。
