摘要
以美国一所教学型高校传播学方向的课程设置作为主要研究对象,采用参与式观察法和文献研究法,简要探讨了美国教学主导型学校的办学思路。研究发现,其整体课程结构体现出轻专业深度、重知识广度的教学理念;公共课设置具有涉猎知识广泛、重视写作训练、凸显学校特色、激发学生思考的特点;专业课方面秉承大新闻办学理念,重实践轻理论,并营造拟态的校园传播环境。
Taking the communication major curriculum of an American teaching- oriented university as research object,and participatory observation and literature research as research method,this paper discusses the management idea of American teaching- oriented universities. The result demonstrates that the curriculum lays greater emphasis on the width of knowledge rather than the depth of knowledge; general courses cover a wide range of knowledge and stress writing practice which aims to stimulate students' thinking; special courses focus on practice instead of theory and the creation of real campus communication environment.
