热处理工艺对α-Sialon陶瓷显微结构和性能的影响

Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Doped α-Sialon Ceramics

摘要 采用热压烧结方法制备了稀土元素(Sm和Er)掺杂的α-Sialon陶瓷。研究了不同的烧成工艺过程对α-Sialon陶瓷的显微结构和力学性能的影响,并借助XRD、SEM、EDS等表征手段对样品的物相、显微结构进行了分析。结果表明:经1450℃保温1小时的样品中长柱状晶粒的生长发育完好,但显微结构不均匀,导致其强度大幅度降低,而样品的断裂韧性变化不明显。热压样品经过1800℃高温热处理1小时,α-Sialon相的含量降低,同时生成β-Sialon和黄长石(M')相,硬度稍有下降,强度和断裂韧性则有一定程度的提高。 The α-sialon ceramics doped with double rare-earth oxides (Sm2O3 and Er2O3) were obtained by hot-pressing (HP) method. The effect of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of double-doped α-sialon ceramics was investigated systematically. The phase assembly and microstructure of the as-prepared samples were characterized by XRD, SEM and EDS. The results showed that the growth of the elongated α-sialon grains could be enhanced after being heat soaked at 1450℃for 1 hour, while the microstructure of the samples became inhomogeneous, resulting in a negative effect on lfexual strength and fracture toughness. After the post-heat treatment at 1800℃ for 1 hour, the hardness was decreased slightly and the strength and fracture toughness could be increased signiifcantly, which was attributed to the decrease of α-sialon and the increase of β-sialon and M' phase.
